The Golden Fleece - origins of quality
The long success story of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group is rooted in a wise combination of values: insistence on quality (from selection of raw materials through to finished products), constant innovation, a strong business ethic, respect for employees and customers alike, and environmental concern. Over the years, Ermenegildo Zegna has built up close ties of collaboration, also on research projects, with a network of sheep farmers subscribing to similar values. It has helped them defend their investments in quality production through an award system involving the purchasing of the finest fleeces and supporting local community development projects.
To these practices and to “Terra Madre”, a meeting of raw material producers from all over the world in Turin in October 2008, in which Ermenegildo Zegna had an important role, Casa Zegna has dedicated “The Golden Fleece - origins of quality”, an installation presenting Zegna’s constant search for the world's finest fibers in a series of photographs, documents, raw materials and finished products.
